In sixth semester we had to work as an intern in a company of our choice. I have spent my sixth semester working in an architectural company Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects in their office located in Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

They have put me on a project of a shopping mall called Fisketorvet in Copenhagen. It was a renovation and extension of the shopping mall that was previously there and it included complete renovation of all the facades, renovation of the inside part of the mall, new and extended parking and an extension which was including the connection to the Copenhagen metro system. My main focus however was Revit and BIM incorporation into the project and some detail drawings for the new facades. It was an enormous experience for me since the company always included us, interns in meetings, took us on building sites and made sure that we are busy and progressing in our learning aims.
